Mangrove Realty began with a bold vision from founder Damara Cohn, who sold her first home on her very first day as a Realtor. Originally from Queens, New York, Damara moved to Boca Raton during her school years and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Marketing and PR. That first sale sparked a lifelong passion for real estate.
In 2008, Damara launched Mangrove Realty in Delray Beach, Florida—a boutique brokerage committed to personalized service and agent success. The journey wasn’t always smooth. During the 2006 market meltdown, Damara adapted quickly, becoming one of the first Certified Short Sale Agents in the area and training her team to navigate foreclosures and short sales. She also led the charge in innovation, making Mangrove one of the first brokerages in Florida to go completely paperless.
Today, Mangrove Realty is recognized for its expertise in luxury residential and commercial real estate, handling hundreds of transactions and millions in property sales each year. The brokerage has earned prestigious awards, including the Realtor.com Technology Award and Realty Alliance National Sales Award, and served as the official brokerage for the City of Delray Beach and its agencies.
